About The Inventor
Leo Blackwood, a long-time
diversified rancher
of Tranquility,
California designed,
fabricated
and patented the
first device for
use on his own cotton
pickers
approximately seven
years ago.
The result was an
immediate
savings in picker bar
and related
drum part cost, with
a
corresponding
reduction in down
time. Also,
better grades of
cotton were produced.
The
original design has
been tested
and proven effective
over the
past seven years. |
SIMPLE One attachment per drum, fabricated from an anti-spark alloy. Easily
mounted on each picker drum with no modification to the drum itself. Approximately five
minutes per drum to install.
SAVINGS
Prevents mud, dirt, and debris build up on cabinet floor,
causing less wear on base and all working components. Installed, the Blackwood
Cotton Picker Lower Drum Cleaner cleans a 5/8" space between dirt, mud and debris,
which in turn saves wear on picker bars, bar bushings, bar studs, drum flange, lower
spindle and spindle bushings.
